On the night of July 10, miscreants stabbed a gym owner 17 times in Gamdi village in North East Delhi. An attempt was made to give it a communal angle and blame was put on boys of one community.

Police have arrested four accused, including two women, in the case of brutal murder of gym owner Sumit alias Prem Chaudhary in Bhajanpura on the night of July 10. The arrested accused have been identified as Kartar Singh alias Kamal (33), Hussain Ali alias Babu (20), woman Shayna alias Lali (36) and Ashu (38). The main accused Salman alias Sallu (21) is still absconding.
An attempt was made to give a communal colour to the murder. Some organisations held a panchayat in the village on Sunday and accused a particular community of murdering Sumit. District Deputy Commissioner of Police Dr. Joy Tirkey said that Sumit lived with his family in Pancham Pushta, Gamdi Extension Lane No. 15.
Apart from father Mahipal Chaudhary, the family consists of his wife and a three-year-old son. Apart from running a gym, Sumit also had a tour and travel business. He was returning home on the night of July 10. Meanwhile, he was murdered. The CCTV footage of the murder came to light on Wednesday.
In which Sumit was seen kicking a young man, after which another boy stabbed Sumit 17 times with a knife. Four accused were arrested after identifying them from the footage. During interrogation of the accused, it came to light that the murder was due to enmity. Shayna and Ashu helped the accused to escape, so they were arrested. Police is searching for the main accused Salman. Three cases including attempt to murder were registered against Sumit too.
